Thank you for your interest in our site! BidCorp.com is working to become the premier internet site for facilitating online purchasing for public entities. Since BidCorp.com, Inc. was founded in December 1999, the company has attracted some of the best and brightest talent to help design, create, and expand the web site. As we continue to expand, our staff and services will grow. Please contact us with any questions, concerns, or ideas that you might have! BidCorp.com was created on two simple, but powerful ideas. The first is the need for a solution that does not require the public entity to change their underlying business practices. Public entities are governed by constitutions, charters, statutes, and ordinances. They are very hard to change in a timely fashion. The second idea was the need for centralized location for users to find all public business. The Auction Service, the RFP Service, and the Contract Database, provide the benefit of an aggregated presence for our users. Most Listing Members would find little interest in their own RFP's and Auction items if they are housed only on their own web sites. This is because bidders couldn't possibly search the thousands of public entity web sites looking for RFP's for the business they are in, or for items for sale that they wish to purchase. By having one central site for these items, the interest from bidders will grow dramatically. The main features of this web site include: Sealed Bid RFP's (Request For Proposal) Public Bid RFP's (Request For Proposal) The Public Bid RFP is a BidCorp.com innovation that allows an auction style approach to accepting proposals. This feature is most useful when purchasing commodities. An example of a good Public Bid RFP candidate would be rock salt. If you had to purchase 1000 tons of rock salt, you could select "No" to the sealed bid auction. This would make the dollar amount and specifications of each bid public as they are received. This allows another bidder to see the current bids prior to placing their own. If the new bidder submitted a lower bid, the original bidder could then let their bid stand, or submit a new bid for a lower price. Private auctions are available here if there are a limited number of approved or qualified vendors that you wish to invite to participate. Auction Service The Auction Service provides comparable auction functions to many of the consumer internet auction sites, but is customized and designed especially for public entities and businesses that work with public entities. Contract Database
This feature allows the public purchaser to search through existing government contracts for items they wish to buy. If an acceptable government contract for the item is found, you will be able to contact the vendor through the Bidcorp.com web site and initiate the purchase immediately. This feature will add significant value to our public entity users and the vendors that wish to increase their sales. We encourage you to check out these features and the rest of the web site. However, in order to post RFP's or bids, you must be a registered user. Click here to register. It's free and easy to do! |
