BidCorp.com, Inc. was created with the mission to become the premier internet web site for facilitating online purchasing for public entities. The web site focuses mainly on the procurement of goods and services, and sales of used or surplus equipment and vehicles. The solutions created by BidCorp.com were designed for state government, sub-state governments, local municipalities, school districts, and other public entities. BidCorp.com offers public entities a forum on the internet to procure goods and services through the RFP process. It also provides a forum to sell used or surplus goods using the auction service. In order to use the web site, the public entity and vendors only need a web browser and access to the Internet. The founder of the company came up with the idea for BidCorp.com to streamline processes, reduce costs and increase competition. He also wanted to increase the public nature of the purchasing process. Through the knowledge and experience the founder gained serving as a local elected official, and with his marketing background serving over 800 public entity clients, he was able to design a unique marketplace specifically designed for the public entity user.
